Ethiopia is the birth place of coffee which grows wild in many regions of the country. The Yirgacheffe district (or “woreda”) is part of the Southern Nations Nationalities and Peoples Region (SNNPR) within the larger Gedeo Zone, named after the Gedeo people. Yirgacheffe coffee is considered one of the best coffees in the world.
